About Troop 255

Based in Montara on the beautifully rugged coastline of the San Francisco Peninsula, Boy Scout Troop 255 provides fun and exciting opportunities for boys to engage in scouting's outdoor activities while learning the timeless principles of leadership and honor. Our troop is part of the Pacific Skyline Council's Discovery District.

There are also opportunities for younger boys to get started in scouting by joining our affiliated Cub Scout Pack 255

  • Sunday-Monday, August 2-3: Matthew's Eagle Scout Project, Wilkinson School in El Granada
    • The project is the installation of rainwater storage barrels, so that the school can continue to water its educational gardens
    • Sunday, August 2, from 2pm to 6pm at the school and
    • Monday, August 3, from 10am to 3pm at the school.
  • Sunday-Saturday, August 9-15: Crater Lake Camping Trip.
    • Please let Brad Turner and me know if you would like to participate in this trip
    • Crater Lake features great hikes, terrific scenery, and (of course) a big lake!
    • There will be opportunities for Scouts to complete rank advancement requirements during this campout.

Troop meetings are held the first and third Wednesday of every month at the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club located in Princeton Harbor.

Full class A uniforms are required at all Troop Meetings
